OS470 is a color change black to blue thermochromic ink suited for printing on Special thermochromic ink resist retort process and has direct compatibility for use in the Videojet 1000 Line continuous inkjet printers. It is a fast-dry, no-MEK general-purpose black ink. It has good code durability through the rigorous cooking/retort process and good adhesion to a variety of metal, plastic, and glass substrates.

Applications for V470-D

The OS470 ink is suitable for printing on packaging for foods that typically require a retort process after filling, including vegetables, beans, fruit, soup, salsa, sauces, tomato, baby food, meat/fish, and ready-to-eat meals.

 Other typical applications for this ink include: Bread bags, Pouches, Carton, Metal cans, Dry glass jars, plastic containers, Flow wraps, Aseptic packaging, Chub bags, Flexible pouches, tetra pack  containers and  coated non coated paper stock.

Similar to that of V462-D this ink is able to endure pre and post processes that include:

• Clean & dry substrates
• Resist retort process minimum 30 minutes cycle at 240° F 
• After retort color changes from black to blue
