OS437 is a retort resistant black MEK ink suited for printing on Special thermochromic ink resist retort process and has direct compatibility for use in the Videojet 1000 Line continuous inkjet printers. This ink has been specifically designed for code durability through tough high-temperature steam retort and pasteurization processes used in cooking prepared food containers for shelf stability.

Applications for V437-D

The OS437 ink is suitable for printing on metal cans and plastic/foil pouches of food that require a retort process including: vegetables, fruit, soup, sauces, baby food, meat/fish, and ready-to-eat meals. During the cooking process, containers can get stacked, causing codes to come in contact with other containers. In those situations, this ink is transfer-resistant.

 Other typical applications for this ink include: Process food containers, metal cans, plastic pouches, trays & tubs, automotive parts, electronic boards.

Similar to that of V459-D this ink is able to endure pre and post processes that include:

• Dry substrates
• Penetrates through thinlayer of oil
• Resist retort process minimum 30 minutes cycle at 240° F. 
• After retort no color change
