InkJet, Inc. Certified as Women's Business Enterprise,  Chairwoman Patricia Quinlan Also Invited to Participate in  Houston Business Journal's Bizwomen Mentoring Monday event Feb. 12

Willis, Texas (Feb. 9, 2018) – InkJet, Inc., a woman-owned business since 2014, has earned certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) through the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). InkJet, Inc. was founded by Thomas Quinlan in 1989. Patricia Quinlan, Thomas’ eldest daughter, became chairwoman of InkJet, Inc. upon her parents’ death in 2013. She was only 23 years old at the time.

Additionally, The Houston Business Journal invited Quinlan to serve as one of 40 Houston area mentors for women of all ages and in all stages of their career at the Bizwomen Mentoring Monday breakfast event, Feb. 12. Quinlan will share insights about her career and will lead several “speed mentoring” roundtable discussions.

American City Journals, parent company of The Houston Business Journal and its 42 other weekly sister publications, is hosting Mentoring Monday on the same day -- Feb. 12 – in 43 cities. Approximately 10,000 women will benefit from small group and one-on-one coaching from guest mentors who volunteer their time and talent through this initiative. WBENC is also an approved Third-Party Certifier for the United States Small Business Administration (SBA) Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Federal Contracting Program. WBENC Certification validates that InkJet, Inc. and other businesses are at least 51 percent owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman or women. To achieve WBENC Certification, women-owned businesses must complete a formal documentation and site visit process that is administered by one of WBENC's 14 Regional Partner Organizations. Quinlan is a member of the Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance and Vistage Worldwide, a group of peers to peer business owners and executives who learn from each other’s best practices and “fail forward moments” in business.

Quinlan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in operations management and supervision in 2014 from Western Washington University, where she was an active member of APICS.

When she is not working, Quinlan is training for and competing in power lifting events with her husband. She resides in the Houston suburb of Conroe.
