Industrial Inkjet Ink & Printing Consumables | InkJet, Inc.
Inkjet printers are versatile and powerful machines that are used in a variety of industries. Continuous inkjet (CIJ) printers, thermal inkjet (TIJ) printers, and high-resolution case coding printers are all used to place important markings on to product packaging or directly on to the product’s surface. Expiration dates, lot codes, barcodes, and QR codes are some of the most common inkjet coding applications. When properly applied, these markings help prevent counterfeiting, ensure traceability, inform consumers, and facilitate the retail process.
To help companies apply these codes to their products, InkJet, Inc. offers a wide range of printing consumables to be used with CIJ, TIJ, and high-resolution case coders. Additionally, we also offer consumables for other brands of printers such as Videojet©. Here’s a quick sampling of our available industrial inkjet ink options, and feel free to contact our expert team for assistance if you don’t see a particular product that you are looking for.
Industrial Inkjet Ink for CIJ Printers
CIJ printers specialize in high-speed coding applications. Well-built CIJ models, like the DuraCode and DuraCode Pigmented, feature modular stainless steel construction with an IP55 certification—a grade that indicates they are resistant against dust, oil, dirt, and other non-corrosive particles.
CIJ models are designed for diverse ink compatibility. Available inks differ in viscosity and formulation, as CIJ printers are built to automatically adjust to new solutions. Accordingly, CIJ printers can mark both porous and non-porous substrates as long as the appropriate ink is installed. Further, the 1 - 3 inch printing distance (throw distance) enabled by the piezo printhead allows CIJ printers to mark both curved and flat surfaces.
By using our industrial inkjet ink formulas, CIJ operators can mark these substrates, amongst others:
TIJ Cartridges
TIJ printers use compact, disposable cartridges as an ink source. Through a process called “drop ejection,” electric resistors inside the printer heat the ink, which causes a bubble to form. Upon the bubble’s collapse, the ink is propelled onto the substrate.
When TIJ printers first entered the market decades ago, they were only compatible with water-based ink—an ink type most suitable for marking porous substrates such as paper, untreated, wood, and cardboard. Now, TIJ models like the Anser U2 Pro-S and the Anser X1 can use both water-based and solvent-based inks, enabling them to mark both porous and non-porous materials such as metal excursions, plastics, and glass.
InkJet, Inc. offers both water-based and solvent-based ink cartridges for Anser products.
Custom, Specialty, and Aftermarket Inks
We don’t just sell printing consumables here at InkJet, Inc.—we formulate them too. When clients need a specific type of ink for a unique project or production environment, we work with them to develop an ink formula that meets all of their needs. We consider the desired substrate, the printer type, temperature/environmental conditions, and any application-dependent details to create the ideal ink for every customer. Through our filtration methods and quality control, we have developed a variety of inks for many materials that result in better adhesion and contrast.
In another scenario, if a customer’s preferred ink type has been discontinued due to evolving regulations, we can replace the ink in a way that satisfies regulators.
Some of our popular custom and specialty industrial inkjet ink offerings include:
-
High-temperature ink
-
Non-transfer ink
-
Soft-pigmented ink
-
Hard-pigmented ink
-
Alcohol-resistant ink
-
Thermochromic ink
-
UV-readable ink
We also offer a number of aftermarket inks (including for the popular Videojet 1000 series) that work better and are more affordable than the OEM alternative.
